It used to be that in order to sell your home, you'd have to part with 6% of the home's value to pay agent commissions. That commission was then split, with 3% going to your listing agent and 3% going to the buyer's agent.
Thankfully, those days are gone. The way we see it, fifteen to twenty thousand dollars is far too much to pay to sell your home. That amount of money could very well wipe out all or most of a seller's equity.
